About Us
The 2025 International Conference on Applications and Techniques in Information Security (ATIS 2025) will mark the fifteenth (15th) edition of the ATIS series, which has been held annually since its inception in 2010. Over the past decade and a half, ATIS has grown into a prominent international platform for presenting, discussing, and advancing innovative ideas in information security. The conference continues to serve as a global forum for researchers, industry professionals, and government representatives to exchange knowledge and experience in digital security technologies and practices.
The mission of ATIS is to highlight cutting-edge advancements in the design, analysis, and implementation of digital security hardware and software solutions. With a strong emphasis on bridging the gap between theory and practice, the conference fosters collaboration between the academic research community and practitioners from industry and government organizations. This interaction provides an essential pathway for translating academic research into real-world security applications and solutions.
Special Theme of ATIS 2025
The Special Theme of ATIS 2025 is “Bridging Australia-Arab Cybersecurity for a Quantum Future”, a vision that transforms ATIS from an academic-only forum into a comprehensive cross-regional partnership program. This theme reflects the urgent global need to build cyber resilience through cooperation, shared innovation, and capacity building. Unlike past editions, ATIS 2025 introduces a multi-location hybrid model held across Melbourne (Australia), Abu Dhabi & Dubai (United Arab Emirates), and Kufa (Iraq), with global online accessibility.
The program integrates four days of immersive activities including hands-on labs, one-to-one mentorship, solution showcases, hackathons, and policy-focused sessions. Activities are designed to meet the practical needs of students, researchers, professionals, and policymakers while showcasing cutting-edge research in AI, quantum, blockchain, IoT, and insider-threat detection. By engaging with at least seven Arab nations, the event expands ATIS’s reach beyond its traditional boundaries, enhancing Australia–Arab ties.
Through this theme, ATIS 2025 targets measurable impacts:
- A 25% increase in participation (target: 300+ participants with ~100 in-person and ~200 online).
- A 20% increase in ATIS cybersecurity certifications.
- A 95%+ participant satisfaction rate measured through post-event surveys.
The ultimate goal is to establish long-term collaborations, alumni networks, and institutional MOUs that ensure Australia and Arab countries continue to cooperate in building cyber capacity beyond the 2025 conference cycle.
